Speakers

Kelley Baumgartel, BSN, Ph.D.

Kelley is an Assistant Professor at Duquesne University School of Nursing. Her program of research includes molecular mechanisms for breast milk variability and whether milk differences are associated with infant outcomes. Kelley is a Founding Board Member of Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank.

Margaret DeLair, RN, CLC

Margaret is the Director of the Donor Milk Program at Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank. As a nurse she has worked in a variety of settings including Labor & Delivery, and Postpartum. She has also had the experience of being a partner/co-owner of a biological and infectious substance training company. More recently, she has enjoyed working as a birth doula.

Hope Logghe, IBCLC, CD(DONA), LMT

Hope is a Screener for Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank. As an IBCLC, massage therapist, doula, and LLL Leader, she has focused her career on working in the world of maternal child health. As a mother who has experienced the loss of an infant, Hope wants to be available to families who are bereaved.

Denise O’Connor, BS, IBCLC

Denise is the Founder and Executive Director of Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank.  She had been working with nursing mothers and their infants for nearly two decades. Through the years, she has been involved with many local non-profits focused on women’s and children’s issues.
