I turned to the Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank when my pumped supply started to dwindle. Pumping at work never yielded what I was able to produce at home, despite all the tricks I tried. Since my daughter was still nursing at home, I didn’t mind the idea of supplementing with formula while she was at the babysitter but she refused 4 different kinds of formula which sent me into all kinds of working mom guilt and anxiety. Finding out I could obtain safe, screened mothers’ milk to supplement my own was amazing and kept my mind at ease for the several months we used it as she transitioned to more solids during the day. Now she’s a bright and awesome 2 year old and still loves to nurse whenever she can!!
