Proud to be a Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank Donor

I never thought that I would be able to proudly say that I am a human milk donor. When our daughter was first born, I was afraid that I wasn’t going to be able to produce enough for her or for how long. She was born 7 months ago and I started my donor relationship with the Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank in August. My husband and I reached out when we realized that we had run out of space in our deep freezer and there was no slow in average of 50 ounces per day. The thought that all of this extra milk can go to help premature babies, sick babies, and babies who are too small to nurse fills my heart with so much love. I am grateful for my ability to be able to be able to provide for my daughter and to help those families who need human milk to help their babies thrive. I am looking forward to donating as much as I can, for as long as I can. I am proud to be a Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank Donor.
