Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank is a nonprofit milk bank which serves neonatal intensive care units and medically fragile outpatient babies in PA, WV, NJ, MD, and DE. The milk bank collects milk from carefully screened volunteer donors and the milk itself is tested and pasteurized before distribution.

Donor Milk Program Laboratory Intern
Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank

Position Overview: Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Laboratory Intern performs all laboratory duties pertaining to the processing of donor human milk for use in the hospital and outpatient settings. The Lab Intern is responsible for following all policies and procedures required to maintain compliance with the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA). Intern will gain hands-on experience using laboratory and pasteurization equipment as well as a team-oriented office setting.
