On November 6, Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank hosted its third annual Milk Bank & Cookies event at Stage AE.
This year’s event, “The Mother of All Cookie Tables” brought together 150 guests and 18 cookie vendors to compete in a cookie table throwdown filled with creativity, flavor, and fun. The sweet treats were judged by Pittsburgh foodies and celebrities: Janet Loughran, Zoe Peckich, Alexis Allen, and Maria McCutchen. Rick Sebak returned as the evening’s emcee.
Munching Moose took home ‘Best Cookie.’ Cookie Cookie Ice Cream was awarded ‘Best Table.’ And The Forgotten Flour walked away with the ‘People’s Choice’ award.
The true winners of the evening are the babies who will benefit from the resources provided by the Milk Bank. Nearly $50,000 was raised to support the Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank efforts in distributing safe and ethically sourced milk to more than 80 hospitals and many outpatients, including all of the high level neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) here in our region.
