12 Nov A donor story

I started my IVF journey in 2022. After trying to conceive for six years we finally got pregnant on our first embryo transfer in 2024. I was diagnosed with hyperprolactinemia in 2020. We tried medications and hormones to conceive on our own but it didn’t work due to my diagnosis. My body was in a constant state of pregnancy or just having conceived so my egg quality was poor and my eggs were not maturing anyway. I continued to lactate after my oldest son was born – he was conceived naturally. I’m not sure why my body went haywire but my diagnosis although unfortunate for me, with regards to getting pregnant, I realized I could help others in need. After giving birth I produced more than enough for my baby and have been able to donate milk for a little over a year. It’s been an honor helping babies and families in need.
