Smiling mother feeding baby

Kerri – A Donor Story

My son Chase was born at 32 weeks and was 2 lbs, 4 ounces when he was born. Chase stayed in the NICU for 51 days due to the need to grow and reflux issues. Due to his reflux issues we unfortunately had to stop feeding him my breastmilk. I continued to pump and store the milk in the hopes that he could drink it someday. While in the NICU I learned of the Milk Bank and knew it was something I would love to do if I was able. I signed up to be a donor and have been so happy to be able help babies like my son and all his little friends we met in the NICU. Having donor milk could help babies get to their graduation day!!
