Pittsburgh Business Times – On October 17, Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank hosted its Milkshake & Cookies event at the PPG Wintergarden downtown. The event included a contest where local companies were judged by a panel on their baked goods and milkshakes. Burgatory won “Best Tasting” for its milkshakes; Crown Julz Confections won “Best Table Presentation;” DiAnoia’s Eatery won “Best Taste;” Cami Custom Sugar Cookies won “Best Cookie Design;” and Spectrum Fudge received the “People’s Choice Award.” Proceeds from the event will benefit MAMMB’s current $8 million capital campaign. Some of the sponsors for the event included the Heinz Endowments, Highmark Wholecare, People’s Natural Gas, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and Eat ‘N Park Hospitality Group Inc.
