I am a 4th time donor with Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank and have been so honored to share extra milk with young babies in their families in need during the growth of my own family. I never expected to be a recipient, but when my 4th child was born he required a brief check-up in the NICU after an incredibly fast birth. Thanks to my years of donating with the milk bank, my husband knew to request donor milk. I was so thankful and at peace knowing my baby was able to get what he needed during our time apart. This time around, I have an extra special appreciation for my fellow donors for helping babies and their families feel the same level of comfort and confidence during what is often a difficult chapter. Thank you all for the time, effort, and love that you put into pumping, bagging, storing and delivering your milk to the milk bank.
