13 Oct Callum: a donor story
Before my son was born, I was very hesitant about breastfeeding. I seriously considered formula because I wasn’t sure breastfeeding would be right for me or if I’d even be able to do it. Looking back, I’m so grateful I gave it a chance. Breastfeeding has become one of the most rewarding parts of my motherhood journey. The bond I’ve built with my baby during this time is something I’ll cherish forever. It’s amazing to think that I grew him for nine months, and now I continue to nourish him every single day. The human body is truly wild. When I realized I was producing more milk than my baby needed, donating felt like a natural way to pay that gift forward. Knowing that my extra milk can help nourish another baby, especially one who needs it most, is incredibly meaningful. I hope that each donation brings comfort and strength to another family during a time when they need it most. Callum is happy to share “his” milkies so all the babies can grow up to be big and strong just like him. I’m thankful for the opportunity to support other parents and babies in this small but powerful way. Motherhood has shown me just how incredible our bodies are, and I’m honored to share a part of that with others.
